Field Service Supervisor

Job Description

Looking for mechanically minded supervisor to join our Field Service team.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Supervisor to plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the field service jobs and ensure the efficient functioning of our field service team. The field service supervisor directs the work of a group of employees on other hourly jobs and may be required to perform some of the same work as that of the group.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance (steel mills), with the ability to lead and mentor a team while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. This is a traveling/hands on position. Company truck, laptop, and cell phone provided.

• Supervise field operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment (forklifts, man lifts, welders, etc.)
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations during all field activities.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with customers
• Train new employees on operational procedures, safety practices, and equipment handling.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational efficiency.

• Proven experience as a millwright, welder
• Engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of Electric Arc Furnace, casters, including the ability to read blueprints and perform troubleshooting tasks.
• Experience with welding techniques is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions while adhering to safety standards.
• Metrology experience a plus
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and 360)
