Relining Specialist I (RS-1) — TrenchX | North Charleston, SC

TrenchX is Charleston's trenchless pipe lining and underground sewer specialist. We fix failing sewer lines without tearing up yards, driveways, or businesses — and we do it right the first time. As a division of PlumbX Inc., we're a licensed, local crew that serves property managers, commercial facilities, and homeowners across the Charleston metro area.

We're growing, and we're looking for our next RS‑1.

The Relining Specialist I is the foundation of every successful install. A big part of this role is running drain cleaning calls — responding to customers with blocked or backed‑up lines, diagnosing the problem, and clearing it. Those calls are also how we find pipes that need lining, so you're not just solving today's problem, you're identifying the next job. You'll learn the tools, the process, and the trade from the ground up, with a clear path to RS‑2 (and beyond) as you earn your certifications.

• Run drain cleaning calls — clear blockages, diagnose the issue, and document pipe condition
• Run hydro‑jetting equipment to clean and clear pipe before lining
• Operate milling tools to cut roots, scale, and obstructions
• Use locating equipment to pinpoint pipe depth and alignment
• Perform camera inspections to assess pipe condition and confirm readiness for install
• Work alongside experienced Relining Specialists to prep job sites safely and efficiently
• Follow safety protocols on every job — no exceptions

Required:

• Reliable — you show up on time, every day
• Physical ability to perform outdoor, hands‑on field work in varying conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 and Confined Space certifications (we provide training)

Preferred:

• Any experience in plumbing, construction, or underground utilities
• Familiarity with pipe inspection or water/sewer systems
• Prior work in a trade environment

No prior trenchless experience required — we train the right person.

• Starting pay: $20/hr (Step A)
• Step B: $22/hr upon completion of NASSCO BSDI certification
• RS‑2 eligible in 3–6 months with NASSCO RESINS certification ($24–$26/hr)
• Certifications are earned on the job — TrenchX supports your path forward
• Full‑time, Monday–Friday schedule (field hours vary by job)
