The OpportunityWe are looking for an innovative, results‑driven Experienced Welder / Fabricator to take ownership of our welding operations in Manning, SC. This highly critical function requires a skilled individual in a wide range of welding processes and applications. If you are a highly motivated, high‑performing, mechanically inclined Welder / Fabricator who takes extreme pride in your work, is detail‑oriented, can fabricate with and without blueprints or drawings, and wants to work with a team of Mechanics and Technicians dedicated to maintaining specialized Marine Transportation Equipment, this is your chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact with the industry leader in transporting high‑value yachts up and down the eastern seaboard and across the country.
Responsibilities- Perform:
Stick / Arc Welding Repairs (Steel) - Perform: TIG Processes (Aluminum & Steel)
- Perform: MIG Processes (Steel)
- Perform:
Plasma Cutter / Torches - Perform:
Utilize all tools of the trade, including hand tools, power tools, air tools, measuring equipment, hydraulic lifts, drill presses, and band saws safely. - Conduct:
In‑depth inspections on trailer frames and other related steel/aluminum components. - Execute Repairs on:
Truck Beds, Painted Steel, Galvanized Steel, and Aluminum Trailer Systems. - Complete Detailed and Accurate:
Work Orders using our industry leading Fleet Management Software. - Maintain: A safe, clean, and organized shop environment, adhering to all DOT and OSHA safety guidelines.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Welder / Fabricator in a shop environment.
- Demonstrated experience in all above‑mentioned welding processes.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment.
- Ability to think creatively and apply results to safely and efficiently complete tasks.
- Pass our on‑site welding test which includes all above‑mentioned welding processes.
