Full-Time | $18–$28/hour, based on years of experience and demonstrated skills
National Hardware & Mobile Home Parts is looking for an experienced, dependable Construction & Property Maintenance Technician. This is not a janitorial or basic maintenance position. We need someone with real hands-on construction, repair, and property-maintenance experience who is comfortable working independently on a wide variety of projects.
The employee will maintain and improve our commercial properties and assist with work at some residential properties as needed. The position will also assist our contractors and installation crews with field projects on newly set up mobile and modular homes.
Typical work includes- General construction, building repairs, and property maintenance
- Plumbing repairs and installations
- Basic electrical work and assisting qualified personnel with larger electrical projects
- Carpentry and general construction
- Installing and repairing exterior and interior doors and windows
- Painting, drywall, trim and finish work
- Installing water heaters, fixtures, and related equipment
- Mobile-home repairs and improvements
- Decks, steps, handrails and exterior repairs
- Assisting with HVAC installation and repair work
- Using hand and power tools
- Operating or assisting with skid steers, mini excavators and similar equipment
- Maintaining both commercial properties and residential properties
- Assisting company contractors and installation crews on jobs throughout the area
Previous construction, remodeling, property-maintenance, or similar hands-on experience is required. The applicant should be able to troubleshoot problems, work without constant supervision, safely use common construction tools and equipment, and have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
This is a physical position involving lifting and carrying materials, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling and working outdoors in South Carolina heat and cold. Applicants must be able to report to work reliably and professionally. Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing is required.
