Berkeley & CharlestonUnder the general supervision of the Mental Health Program Manager, the specialized mental health agent will serve as the first line of supervision for a caseload primarily consisting of individuals living with a mental illness. The agent will maintain professional communication networks with internal and external stakeholders, advocate on behalf of those supervised to seek and maintain stability, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of mental health supervision, programs, policies, and protocols.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
- Associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may substitute a bachelor’s degree.
- High school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (including Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may substitute a bachelor’s or associate’s degree.
- Ability to obtain C-1 law enforcement certification from the SC Criminal Justice Academy within 1 year of employment (12 weeks of training).
This position is completely on‑site and requires in‑office attendance.
