Job Duties:
- The CWS Team Leader
- Permanency provides supervision and leadership to CWS case managers to ensure the delivery of foster care and adoption services for the purpose of ensuring permanency is accomplished for children / youth in foster care. - Coordinates Foster Care (Regular and Therapeutic level) and Adoption services ensuring that uniform interpretation, application and implementation of Child Welfare Legislation, agency policies and procedures are adhered to throughout providing services.
- Staffs and reviews cases with subordinates to assure quality case work, service delivery and progress towards permanency.
- Provides individual training and assistance to staff towards the development of thorough knowledge of case services and permanency goals.
- Provides guidance and assistance to staff in critical / emergency situations to ensure the well-being and safety of the child.
- Completes performance appraisals for staff and ensures timely and accurate preparation of data and reports as required.
- Attends interagency and external agency meetings and trainings and maintains good community relations to assist the agency in meeting its objective of safety, permanency and well-being.
- Works with the assigned local county offices of the twelve (12) served by the region to conduct Adoption Referral Staffing's, participate in legal staffing's or any other pertinent meetings.
- Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Minimum and
Additional Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science or Social Science. A Bachelor's Degree in any other related field and one (1) year of professional experience in human services or social service programs. A Master's Degree or higher may be substituted for required work experience.
