Main Responsibilities
  • Greeting our customers and ensuring they have a great experience as you fuel and wash vehicles.
  • Performing vehicle readiness inspections to confirm tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items are complete.
  • Helping maintain clean, safe facility environments for customers and associates.
  • Building your skills through training and hands‑on coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and performing preventive maintenance repairs.
  • Completing other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

General Requirements
  • High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside.
  • Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Compliance with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
  • Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies—including proper tool, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Regulation by the Department of Transportation: requires a current driver qualification file, annual MVR checks, DOT physical, safety performance history, and for CDL holders a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start, subject to FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, at the required location, complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (criminal checks, employment and education verification), pass a drug screen and physical as required by the Department of Transportation, and potential travel within a near geography for training.
Physical Requirements
  • Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during the scheduled working period.
  • Use hands on a routine basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or operate required tools or controls.
  • Work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
  • Work safely in all weather conditions.
  • Observe and respond to the frequent movement of large trucks in the workplace.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Also push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 pounds.
