Lead all technical accounting activities, including researching and implementing accounting guidance and preparing related documentation. Manage internal and external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit requests. Oversee inventory accounting for a high-volume product portfolio of 1,000+ SKUs, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation. Manage and reconcile complex intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies. Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency. Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial reporting. Mentor and develop members of the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on corporate accounting rather than FP&A. Proven experience leading the full month-end close process in a hands-on capacity. Strong background in technical accounting and managing external audits. Significant experience with inventory accounting and intercompany transactions in a product-based organization. Experience managing accounting for large SKU environments (1,000+ SKUs preferred).
SAP experience is required. CPA designation is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of US GAAP. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
