Job Description
Responsible to assist Critical Care Transfer Nurses in providing safe, efficient, and legal coordination of patient transfers between acute care facilities in a fast-paced, 24/7 call center environment.
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
- Convey accurate messages to RNs in a timely manner
- Obtain information to complete an initial intake
- Make calls to sending/receiving facilities to request/collect face sheets and demographics
- Send/Received faxes & email
- Use a variety of office equipment
- Call and arrange the correct mode of transports for patients
- Highly proficient in data entry and typing skills
- Prepare various reports, case audits, and other duties as assigned
- Assist with training of new hires
Required:
