Role Overview
The Contracts Analyst will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial contracts critical to the operations of a generic pharmaceutical company. This role ensures that agreements are accurate, compliant, and aligned with corporate objectives, while minimizing risk and supporting revenue growth. The position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards, and the ability to collaborate across departments including Sales, Finance, Pricing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Legal.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including customer supply contracts, distribution agreements, group purchasing organization (GPO) agreements, wholesaler contracts, vendor agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
- Build, maintain and manage the company’s contract database, ensuring accurate tracking of contract terms, expirations, renewals, and obligations.
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to analyze pricing, FTS, rebates, and chargeback provisions in contracts, ensuring compliance with government price reporting requirements.
- Support Legal in ensuring all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide timely contract summaries and key term analyses to stakeholders.
- Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalation issues where necessary.
- Support audits, due diligence activities, and contract-related inquiries.
- Work closely with Sales/Pricing to align supply commitments with contractual obligations.
- Quarterback all redline changes cross functionally to ensure accurate and timely execution of agreements.

Requirements and personal skills- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical distribution models, GPOs, and wholesaler relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with contract management systems and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This job operates in a remotely in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, hybrid work model. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
