Position Summary:
Allanbriteway Electrical Utility Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager with at least 10 years of utility line construction experience. The successful candidate will manage projects from planning through completion while maintaining strong safety, quality, scheduling, and financial performance.
Candidates should have extensive knowledge of electric utility construction and experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, utility representatives, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage overhead and underground utility construction projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plans.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and utility requirements.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and change orders.
- Monitor project costs, productivity, billing, and overall financial performance.
- Communicate regularly with utility clients, field supervision, inspectors, and company leadership.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, utility standards, company safety policies, and applicable regulations.
- Identify project risks and resolve scheduling, material, safety, and construction issues.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Support emergency response and storm-restoration operations when required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility line construction.
- Demonstrated project management or construction-management experience.
- Strong knowledge of electric distribution, transmission, substation, or related utility construction.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, crews, subcontractors, and client relationships.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and utility standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project-management software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project locations as required.
- Experience working directly with electric utilities and major utility contractors.
- Experience with storm restoration and emergency-response operations.
- PMP, construction-management, engineering, or related professional credentials.
- Knowledge of union utility construction operations.
