If so, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Coil / Power Design Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team based in Florham Park NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for Electromagnetic analysis, product development of coil designs / electronic circuits and working with customers.
InThis Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Prepare engineering documentation including participation in design reviews
- Conduct product and system level testing in an engineering laboratory while following safety practices and guidelines
- Support production launch activities for solenoid based products
- Contribute to cost reduction projects for existing series products
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to meet and optimize product design requirements.
- Communicate results clearly and coordinate with team members in US and other countries
- Support and drive organizational initiatives
You will quickly and decisively take action to find the right solution, anticipate customer needs and provides services that are beyond customer expectations. Focusing on Innovation, Collaboration, Communication and self-development. There is no "I" in team. There is always help to succeed.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in magnetics design and/or using magnetics in power designs such as solenoids and valves
- An understanding of electromagnetic devices like solenoids, inductors, motors or transformers
- Working knowledge of various magnetic materials and their properties
- Basic understanding of power management and control schemes
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach. Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
- Demonstrated experience building and assembling prototype solenoids / power circuits for testing and validation
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Help to lead innovation in this field

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to the role.
