In this role, you will
- Own capital projects from scope and budget through installation and startup.
- Draft charters, build schedules, control costs, and de-risk timelines with mitigation plans.
- Analyze equipment lifecycle ROI and lead procurement/integration of automation and process technologies.
- Drive facility expansions, utilities upgrades, and plant layout improvements with architects, contractors, and cross-functional partners.
- Plan and execute shutdowns and overhauls to minimize downtime via detailed planning and contingencies.
- Source and manage vendors/contractors, enforcing safety, quality, and local code compliance.
- Embed Lean/Six Sigma thinking to uplift throughput, reliability, and waste reduction.
- Identify risks and lead emergency repair strategies to protect operations.
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in a manufacturing setting, including projects > $500,000.
- Fluency with AutoCAD, Solid Works, and PM tools like MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
- Financial acumen across capital justification, P&L impacts, and variance tracking.
- Top-tier communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Proven leadership across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Finance.
- Safety-first mindset aligned to OSHA; quality-driven, accountable, and productivity-focused.
- Language:
Read/interpret mechanical and electrical drawings; present to customers or internal audiences; proficiency in spoken and written English. - Math:
Confident with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. - Reasoning:
Comfortable solving practical problems with limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions. - Computer:
AutoCAD, Solid Works, Primavera, Microsoft 365, Teams, One Drive.

Compensation & benefitsAfter thorough market analysis, LAPP takes many factors into consideration when determining base salary such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, etc. of the candidate. The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000 plus participation in LAPP's bonus plan.
