Senior Fund Accountant

Overview

Senior Associate – Investment Accounting is seeking a Senior Associate – Accountant to support internal investment structures and employee-related investment programs.

Seeking an individual comfortable being on-site Monday - Thursday. Work remotely Friday.

This role will be responsible for partnership accounting activities, analytical reporting, and operational support across a variety of investment and incentive vehicles.

The position offers exposure to complex fund structures and the opportunity to support a firm-wide initiative to modernize accounting and investor reporting systems.

• Prepare quarterly and annual close work papers for a variety of open- and closed-end partnership vehicles
• Review close work papers prepared internally and by third-party service providers
• Partner with internal stakeholders to collect and validate data related to incentive and participation programs
• Maintain accuracy of participant and vehicle information within allocation and accounting systems
• Calculate capital calls and distributions; generate notices and coordinate related cash movements
• Allocate investment income and incentive distributions in accordance with governing partnership agreements
• Review fund documentation to ensure compliance with allocation and distribution provisions
• Support the onboarding and setup of new partnership vehicles
• Assist with firm-wide analytical requests, ad hoc reporting, and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a fund administrator, public accounting firm (financial services focus), or asset management firm
• Strong understanding of the partnership accounting lifecycle, including capital activity and allocations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas; macros a plus)
• Experience reviewing work prepared by offshore or third-party teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines with limited supervision
