Key Responsibilities:

As a Clinician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, client-centered mental health services within a collaborative and supportive agency setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups across a diverse client population.
  • Use current, evidence-based treatment modalities and specialized expertise where appropriate.
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop diagnostic impressions.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on clients’ goals and progress, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports.
  • Assess clients’ financial needs and recommend resources or supports as appropriate.
  • Collaborate regularly with supervisors and the Director of Clinical Services to address clinical needs and enhance service delivery.
  • Offer mental health education and outreach to community groups when requested.
  • Participate in agency quality assurance and utilization review processes as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and annual self-assessments in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and the NASW Code of Ethics (or equivalent professional ethical guidelines).
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve agency programs and services; may serve on internal committees or represent the agency in community initiatives.
  • Stay informed about developments in social welfare and mental health; attend professional seminars, workshops, or conferences and integrate new knowledge into practice.
  • Help promote the agency's mission by serving as a community liaison with synagogues, local organizations, and partner groups.
Education & Licensure Requirements:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited mental health program (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Active New Jersey clinical licensure, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, strongly preferred. LSW/LAC, considered
Physical Requirements:

This role involves typical office and clinical duties including sitting, walking, standing, listening, typing, and speaking. Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed to support individuals with disabilities.
