Certification Details

• BLS
• NJ radiographic licensure
• Radiography (R) certification with ARRT

Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro‑interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist.

• Strong knowledge with floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.
• The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
• The ability to critically think during neuro‑interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist.
• The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Strong communication skills using closed loop communication.
• The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load.
• Positively contribute to a multi‑disciplinary team of nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons.
• Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system.
• Groin management post intervention.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment.
• This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist (CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x‑ray fluoroscopic modalities.

• 3‑5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio‑Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

  High School Diploma/GED, Associate degree, or Completion of accredited radiographic program.
• Required Certifications & Licensure: NJ radiographic licensure, BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American Heart Association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures, Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.
