The Specialist, Sales Analytics is responsible for delivering data-driven insights, recurring analytics, and decision support that enable sales leadership to manage pipeline health, forecast performance, and drive commercial outcomes.
The Specialist, Sales Analytics combines deep knowledge of sales operations and go-to-market metrics with technical proficiency in SQL and data visualization to produce analytics that are actionable, accurate, and aligned to business priorities.
The Specialist, Sales Analytics will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity and continuously improve the analytics ecosystem. This role also contributes to the evolution of analytics delivery by exploring and prototyping Generative AI-driven solutions that modernize how the sales organization consumes insights.
Key Responsibilities- Own and deliver recurring sales analytics including pipeline reporting, forecast tracking, bookings analysis, and sales performance scorecards that support weekly and monthly business reviews.
- Analyze pipeline health, conversion trends, stage progression, and forecast accuracy to surface risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations for sales leadership.
- Support territory planning, quota setting, and compensation-linked metrics by building and maintaining the underlying data, logic, and reporting frameworks.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across sales and finance systems, including pipeline versus bookings mismatches, cancellation and rebilling anomalies, and duplicate records, through structured root cause analysis.
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that translate complex sales data into clear, intuitive visualizations that drive adoption and informed decision-making across stakeholders.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze datasets from CRM, cloud data warehouse, and finance systems in support of analytics deliverables.
- Explore and prototype Generative AI-driven solutions, including automated insight generation, copilot-assisted reporting, and natural language data queries, to improve how the sales organization consumes analytics.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define data requirements, validate data quality, and continuously improve the analytics ecosystem.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of experience in Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of Tableau experience including dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, and the ability to tell a clear story through data visualization.
- Strong understanding of sales operations and go-to-market metrics, including pipeline, bookings, revenue, forecasting, territory, quota, and compensation-linked KPIs.
- Ability to connect data to business context with an understanding of what sales leaders need to make decisions and the ability to frame analytics around those needs.
- Strong SQL skills with hands‑on experience writing queries across large datasets, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, and basic performance tuning.
- Experience working with Salesforce data models and familiarity with sales and finance systems in the context of business reporting.
- Proven problem-solving ability with the capacity to independently work through ambiguous, loosely defined analytical challenges and deliver structured recommendations.
- Exposure to or strong interest in Generative AI and AI-assisted analytics applied to sales use cases.
