The company is seeking a focused individual who will provide technical and administrative support to the Underwriting function of the North American operation and is interested in developing a career as an underwriter.
Reinsurance Management Inc is a fully own subsidiary of the MAPFRE Group. The position is based in Florham Park, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:
− Assist Underwriters in all facets of underwriting process.
− Process reinsurance submissions submitted by brokers into underwriting platform.
− Identify and extract critical data from these submissions and prepare technical worksheets for
underwriters.
− Prepare and scrub submission data and enter in experience and exposure rating tool.
− Use third party catastrophe modeling software, download modeling data, run cat model and enter results in technical worksheet.
− Review and analyze contract wordings.
− Create and maintain online/digital underwriting and contract files.
− Manage all new and renewal submission as they proceed throughout the workflow.
− Code and enter bound accounts into the premium system, cat model and upload contracts into
online system.
− Produce reports for management and underwriters.
− Respond to queries from accounting and other internal departments.
− Assemble relevant information needed for client audits.
− Researching and answering inquiries from internal and external customers.
− Maintain marketing material and schedules for underwriter.
− Participate in broker / client meetings as required.
− Assist in projects as assigned.
Requirements:
− Bachelor’s Degree required; 5 years minimum reinsurance or insurance industry Exp of which 3
years in underwriting.
− The ideal candidate is well organized; is project management oriented; good mathematical, oral
and written communication skills; is a thinker providing solutions; has a positive “can do” attitude;
works well as an integral part of a collaborative team as well as independently; possesses a strong
work ethic and is self-motivated.
− Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word & Outlook
