Neuroscience Regional Sales Director
This position requires candidates to be field based and will cover Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia. Candidates do not have to live in one of the listed states but should live within a commutable distance to a major airport.
The Neuroscience Regional Sales Director leads the sales performance and professional development of a team of District Managers and Account Specialists covering the West Region. Core areas of focus are Chronic Migraine, Focal Spasticity and Cervical Dystonia indications. The sales team supports customers in community/private practices, community-based hospitals, academic medical centers, military treatment facilities, and Veteran's Affairs Medical Centers. Called on providers primarily include Neurologists, Physiatrists, but also non-specialist and APP providers as well.
The Regional Sales Director strategically drives sales performance, operational excellence, manages the budget, collaborates with marketing and in-house field teams, and develops a team of District Managers and Account Specialists. Additionally, in partnership with their team, they cultivate relationships with external customers through live engagements and regional meetings. The Regional Director ensures that all promotional sales and marketing initiatives, along with all other District Manager and Account Specialist responsibilities, are executed in alignment with the compliance and ethical standards of Abb Vie.
Key responsibilities include driving sales strategy, driving executional excellence, managing the budget, collaborating with marketing and field teams, and developing direct reports. Most importantly, the Regional Sales Director ensures all initiatives are executed in alignment with Abb Vie's ethical and compliance standards.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving/exceeding the Neurosciences sales (unit and dollar) national sales expectation and other goals established by the organization and in alignment with U.S. Marketing Plans, within expense, compliance, and legal guidelines.
- Continually analyze sales and business execution to uncover business needs, then develop/execute a plan that will provide tactical direction, evaluate progress, measure results, and monitor the success of the plan, resulting in improvement of district, regional, and national sales performance.
- Facilitate a rich culture built around performance and inclusion. Develop, inspire, manage, and retain or promote team members while also influencing/mentoring other individuals throughout the organization.
- Collaborate and develop strong professional relationships with external customers and internal partners to ensure that all appropriate Abb Vie resources are being utilized to address customer needs and improve sales performance.
- Meet the established national productivity and administrative requirements to maintain/improve operational effectiveness and efficiency that contribute to the overall support and success of the sales and marketing strategy.
- Provide direct feedback and manage/facilitate direct report communications/feedback to appropriate brand partners and departments regarding the execution and reception of marketing and other IBT initiatives.
- Assess and coach indication specific anatomy, procedure, and injection trainings with a full working knowledge and understanding of the information.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- Successful Sales Management and positive track record of leading teams in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care and marketing.
- Ability to set a vision and a strategy.
- Build and inspire individuals and teams for success.
- Experience with project management.
- Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.

- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
- These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities.
