National Account Manager

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is actively searching for a National Account Manager for an established global manufacturer and distributor of consumer products within the Health & Beauty and Personal Care industry based in Florham Park, NJ.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced CPG sales professional who understands how to sell consumer products into retail accounts, manage broker relationships, grow existing business, and develop new retail relationships.

This is a hands-on individual contributor position with no direct reports. The National Account Manager will work directly with retail customers and brokers while partnering internally with Marketing and Operations. The role includes approximately 40% nationwide travel for customer meetings, broker meetings, trade shows, conferences, and new business development.

In-Office Position – Florham Park, NJ when not traveling or working in the field. Approximately 40% nationwide travel.

• Develop new retail relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Manage and grow sales within existing retail accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers across grocery, drug store, mass merchant, national retail, and e-commerce channels.
• Manage and develop broker partnerships.
• Conduct retailer presentations and business reviews.
• Identify opportunities to expand business within existing customer accounts.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
• Work closely with Marketing and Operations on sales initiatives and customer needs.
• Maintain direct ownership of customer relationships and sales activity.
• Travel approximately 40% nationwide for customer meetings, broker meetings, industry events, and business development.

• Strong Consumer Packaged Goods sales experience.
• Experience selling directly into retail accounts.
• Experience developing and maintaining retail customer relationships.
• Experience growing existing accounts and developing new business.
• Experience managing or working directly with brokers and outside sales representatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience conducting retailer presentations and business reviews.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams.
• Ability to travel approximately 40% nationwide.
• Ability to work onsite in Florham Park, NJ when not traveling or working in the field.

• Health & Beauty, Personal Care, or closely related consumer products experience.
• Experience selling into grocery retailers, drug stores, mass merchants, national retailers, or e-commerce channels.
• Experience managing national, regional, key, or strategic retail accounts.
• Strong background in both existing account growth and new retail business development.
• Established experience working through broker relationships within the CPG industry.
