Overview
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Air Monitoring Technician for our Florham Park, NJ team. You will provide onsite operation of the Greenlight™ Environmental Monitoring System at client project sites. Training will be provided. This self-motivated individual will protect site personnel and safeguard sensitive receptors at the perimeter by conducting real-time perimeter monitoring to ensure compliance with the site-specific air monitoring plan, alarm levels, and applicable regulations and industry best practices.
This role is onsite at assigned client project sites in NY and NJ and is based out of Florham Park, NJ.
The position reports to an Environmental Health & Safety Director.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day operation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of equipment.
- Fulfill requirements of the air monitoring plan while keeping the client informed of site conditions.
- Respond to alarms and alerts.
- Conduct data analysis of monitoring results and produce daily reports.
- Conduct periodic environmental sampling for lab analysis.
- Provide assembly/disassembly of monitoring systems.
- Remotely monitor system alarms and alerts for multiple sites.
- Upkeep of non-deployed equipment and inventory.
- Job site mobilization/demobilization of units.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in environmental monitoring, construction site work, remediation, or equipment operation (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with air quality monitoring systems or willingness to undergo training.
- Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance (OSHA, EPA, state/local air quality regulations).
- Mechanically inclined with some understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions at active construction sites.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (typically up to 60 lbs).
- Willingness to travel to different project sites.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to consent to motor vehicle record screening, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
- Participation in a random drug screening program may be required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday); some overtime may be required.
- Prior relevant industry experience.
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Location & Compensation: New Jersey pay range: $25 - $27 USD per hour (base pay may vary by education, experience, skills, location, and budget).
