Entry-Level Snow Salter - Plow Tech

Shaw's Garage in Florham Park, NJ has been keeping trucks and snow equipment running strong since 1977, and we are hiring a full-time Entry‑Level Snow Salter – Plow Tech

• Summer: 4‑day workweek, Mon–Thu (8 am–5 pm)
• Winter: 5‑day workweek, Mon–Fri (8 am–5 pm), with some Saturdays and overtime

As an Entry‑Level Snow Salter – Plow Tech, you will install Fisher plows and salter spreaders, service equipment from Western and Meyer, and keep trucks and trailers ready for action. Daily tasks include installing hydraulic dump inserts or lift gates, inspecting trailers, wiring lighting, adding hitches, and performing general repair work. Your mechanical skills will directly impact customer safety and success.

• Up to 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and service plows and salt spreaders
• Familiarity with Fisher or Western equipment preferred
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Your own basic tools
• The physical ability to meet the demands of the role
• Bonus points for wiring or electrical knowledge (not required)
• Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
