HVAC Maintenance Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a HVAC Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Florham Park, New Jersey.

This role involves performing maintenance and repair work on HVAC systems, assisting with general facility duties, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment within a stationary site. The technician will handle preventive maintenance, respond to technical issues, and support various site operations.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and related mechanical systems
• Respond to maintenance requests, open tickets, and communicate effectively via email and CMS systems
• Assist with general facility maintenance such as changing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, moving furniture, and hanging pictures
• Operate and troubleshoot air‑cooled rooftop package units and critical AC units ranging from 10 to 75 tons
• Must have a valid driver’s license to run out for parts and cross‑train at the headquarters
• Utilize provided tools, full uniforms, PPE, and safety boots to perform job duties safely

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of HVAC experience, with strong mechanical skills
• Must have a CFC license
• Good customer relation skills and computer proficiency (working with CMS and email)
• Strong mechanical background, especially with aged equipment issues
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

• Experience with general building repairs such as changing ceiling tiles, bulbs, or minor plumbing
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various teams

The shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, involving on‑site work with some movement between tasks and locations.
