Maintenance Technician - Instrumentation & Controls Itinerant

Position located at Turkey Point Fossil Plant in Homestead, Florida. Will travel the state of Florida to support fleet outages. Tools provided. Days and shifts vary based on business unit needs during outages. Normal schedule is a day shift Monday‑Friday. Overtime 400‑800 hours per year. Per diem offered for travel outside region. Plant operates 24/7, so weekend work required.

• Repairs, replaces, troubleshoots, calibrates and maintains power plant instrumentation and control equipment and systems.
• Utilizes/operates various test instruments and hand and power tools necessary to support a safe and productive work environment.
• Candidates required to take and pass the MASS test and be hands‑on tested to demonstrate knowledge and craft skills.

  day shift except when supporting outages. Travel required.
• Local candidate strongly preferred. Relocation assistance not provided.
• Solid knowledge and experience in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation & control equipment and systems in power plant, industrial facility, processing plant or navy environment (minimum 2 years).
• Proficiency in I&C skills related to industrial variable measurement, industrial transmitters (digital/analog), controllers, control loops, final control elements (pneumatic/hydraulic/electric), distributed control systems, data communications, fiber optics, control drawings and transducers.

• Valid driver's license (non‑CDL).
