Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Full Charge Bookkeeper role located in Fort Myers Beach, FL. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will handle the preparation of financial statements, record accurate journal entries, manage all bookkeeping tasks, process payroll, and oversee general accounting activities.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing the flow of money into and out of the business, including processing vendor invoices, issuing client invoices and bookkeeping duties as needed.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Accurately recording all financial transactions and making necessary adjustments and journal entries.
  • Reconciliations: Performing bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Payroll Management: Processing employee timesheets and payroll, and remitting associated payroll taxes.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Tax Preparation Support: Assisting with tax-related processes and preparing documentation for external Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) or auditors.
  • Cash Flow Monitoring: Tracking and forecasting cash flow to help management make informed business decisions
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • Experience with Journal Entries and fundamental Accounting practices
  • Strong skills in Bookkeeping and managing Payroll
  • Understanding of Accounting principles and standards
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the construction or home remodeling industry is a plus
