Staff Accountant
Job DescriptionAs a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in performing bank reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close processes.
Responsibilities- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to cash transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Assist with other accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and handling general ledger accounts.
- Experience with month-end close processes.
- Strong skills in Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with sales and use tax accounting.
Skills & Qualifications
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Desire for growth and the ambition to establish a career in accounting.
- The position is based in an office setting and requires attendance five days a week.

Contract to Hire position based out of Gulf Breeze, FL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
