- Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Manage preparation of funding requests for joint ventures and draw packages.
- Provide comprehensive audit support, including schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving irregularities.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations, verifying transaction accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage company cash flow, optimizing liquidity and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and develop strategies to optimize performance.
- Prepare and present financial reports, providing insights into company status and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with journal entries, funding requests for joint ventures, draw packages, audit support, General Ledger management, balance sheet analysis, account reconciliations, and cash management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with team members at all levels.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
