This position will be responsible for reconciling five local funds accounts to Florida Accounting Information System (FLAIR), Quicken, and local bank, making all correcting entries to FLAIR.
How you will make an impact- Responsible for all documentation of stop payments for local funds
- Coordinating with all involved areas in preparation of FLAIR & banking entries needed to adjust for stop payments
- Responsible for processing Direct Orders (Dos)
- Verify mail log
- Post deposits from mail log
- Prepare and reconcile monthly category reports with Quicken.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Ability to design and implement accounting systems.
- Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- At least one year of professional work experience.

Background Screening Requirement:
All applicants must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, and must be screened in accordance with Chapter 435 and, if applicable, Chapter 408 of the Florida Statutes. No applicant may begin employment until the background screening results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency.
Background screening includes fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the FDLE and FBI.
Participation in the State of Florida Direct Deposit Program is required as a condition of employment per F.S. 110.113, and enrollment must be completed within the first 30 calendar days of appointment.
