Overview
This Accountant III position in the Florida Department of Education's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation audits and processes client service authorization invoices, verifies mathematical accuracy and documentation, and prepares data for the Client Service System. The role is located in Tallahassee and involves invoice processing, financial analysis, and coordination with other fiscal staff to support vocational rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities- Audit and process client service authorization invoices.
- Verify mathematical accuracy and documentation of invoices.
- Prepare data for the Client Service System.
- Coordinate with other fiscal staff to support vocational rehabilitation services.
- Perform financial analysis as required by the role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships.
