About the OpportunityWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Tax Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of responsibilities that will keep you challenged and engaged. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in public accounting, business development, and tax return review. With a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in public accounting, you will lead our team and manage our book of business, contributing to our continued growth.
Responsibilities- Participate actively in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
- Review individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Manage a diverse book of business, demonstrating exceptional client service and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Stay updated on the latest tax regulations and legislation and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance overall operations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring they align with the company's financial goals.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in public accounting.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, with a proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
- 37.5-hour work week (compensation based on 37.5-hour work week)
