Substitute Receptionist

Overview

The Out-of-Door Academy seeks Substitute Receptionists to join a thriving school that is committed to providing a relevant and student-centered learning experience.

• Acts as the first point of contact for the school, welcoming all incoming students, families and guests.
• Answers incoming calls, responds to inquiries in a helpful and constructive manner and ensures that appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner.
• Performs general clerical functions to support and maintain professional front office operations.
• Prepares and distributes daily attendance, absences, and tardy reports.
• Provides assistance with bus transportation system by keeping an up-to-date list of students riding and notifying staff of dismissal plan changes.
• Utilizes school public address system to provide updates and notifications as appropriate.
• Lives the school’s mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility.

• H.S. Diploma required
• Ability to develop positive rapport with students, educators and parents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.

This is a temporary, non-exempt position available with varying availability dependent upon the school’s needs. Assignments may be at the Siesta Key Campus or the Uihlein Campus at Lakewood Ranch.
