Pay: $18.74/hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree and 1 year of secretarial/clerical experience
OR high school diploma/equivalency and 3 years of related experience - Strong typing and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Experience preparing documents, reports, and correspondence
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions
- Prior customer service experience with frequent public interaction
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping functions
- Experience working in a government or administrative office setting
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Secretary to support daily office operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage a variety of administrative tasks while maintaining professionalism with both internal staff and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, reports, legal documents, and other materials
- Edit documents for clarity, grammar, and compliance with County policies
- Operate office equipment including computers, printers, and scanners
- Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate departments or personnel
- Draft and process documents for supervisor review and signature
- Assist with administrative tasks, data entry, and recordkeeping
- Support office operations and meet deadlines as needed
- Strong knowledge of business English, grammar, and punctuation
- Ability to compose letters and routine documents independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Comfortable working with the public and internal teams
- Basic math and bookkeeping knowledge
- Occasional overtime may be required based on workload
- This position qualifies for internal advancement programs (DAP)
