within dcf, the substance abuse and mental health (samh) program office is recognized as the single state authority for substance abuse and mental health services. The office of samh is statutorily responsible for the planning, evaluation, and implementation of a comprehensive statewide system of care for the prevention, treatment, and recovery of children and adults with serious mental illnesses or substance use disorders.
northeast florida state hospital (nefsh) is a 706-bed, licensed mental health treatment facility that provides person-centered services to adults suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. The hospital, located in macclenny, was established in 1959 and is the largest state operated civil treatment facility.

this is a highly responsible and professional position that will serve as a senior clerk. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who works seamlessly across all sections within the program office. This role requires the use of independent judgment, a proactive approach to responsibilities, and exceptional attention to detail. specific duties and responsibilities include:
- independently collects and inputs data and generates computer graphics related to psychologists' process and quality indicators. Indicators include data from units of service, customer satisfaction, and various treatment services delivered. Distributes graphics to department staff.
- organizes and maintains leave and attendance records for all employees assigned to the department of psychology in support of management excellence. Duties include inputting data on to psychology calendar, communicating with staff, director and kronos administrator, checking calendar for accuracy, correcting as needed, verifying leave balances as needed.
- organizes and maintains psychology department's records, filing systems and inventories including psychological testing data, psychological testing forms, psychology personnel records, and psychology office equipment.
- reviews and updates policy and procedures for psychology department, communicating administrative policies and procedures to psychology staff.
- screens incoming telephone calls and visitors, and refers calls to the appropriate party as necessary, in support of customer satisfaction. Receives, and screens incoming mail, and monitors action taken within scheduled time frame.
- types and prepares memos, reports, minutes, and other correspondence for the psychology department in support of management excellence. Attends meetings and conferences, communicating relevant information to psychology staff.
- assists in human resources processes relevant to the department including; completion of hiring packets, separation packets and other h.r. Related duties.
- orders, tracks and maintains supply inventory for the department, including special online orders from myfloridamarketplace.
- performs other relevant duties assigned by the director of psychology or their designee.
