Overview
Purpose and Scope:
Scheduler/Planners are responsible for Maximo generated work activities and ensuring that all work performed is planned, estimated, scheduled, and documented accordingly per the PWS. As part of this process, the schedulers will analyze, correct, and prioritize work to ensure validity and correctness of each work order. Scheduler/Planners are also responsible for reporting deviations that will affect metric driven performance and obtain customer approvals prior to beginning or continuing work.
- Perform scheduling activities including documenting, providing status, tracking, and coordinating contractual obligations under the BOSS Contract.
- Interact with customers to ensure completion of scheduled tasks and customer satisfaction
- Ensure work documentation has been reviewed by prior entities prior to execution, for proper coding, priority, and classification.
- Coordinate access and monitor execution status to ensure status and backlog validity.
- Perform, document, and coordinate discrepancy resolution of weekly status and completion date reviews for area of responsibility.
- Receive/review work packages from the Duty Office/WCC for completeness and resolve questions/concerns as required.
- Receive/review work packages from Integrated Planner/Estimator for completeness and resolves questions/concerns as required.
- Coordinate with shop supervisors to ensure manpower resources are available per weekly Resource Availability Matrix (RAM).
- Coordinate scheduled start and scheduled finish dates with all supporting shops and Facility Managers to ensure work can be scheduled/executed without impacting facility operations.
- Prepare, post and distribute daily/weekly schedules as required.
- Generate periodic reports to track/report engineering, maintenance, and operations as required.
- Set up and participate in pre-job meetings and walkdowns.
- Perform other related or associated duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years related experience with operation and maintenance shop scheduling or execution to include: plumbing, electrical, protective systems, corrosion control, HVAC, elevators, etc.
- Associates degree and/or trade license preferred.
- Must possess general knowledge of office routines to include scheduling, general office administration, and a working knowledge of standard computer software.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of AKWIRE and Microsoft Project are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position
- Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting.
Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
