Position: Front Desk at Dermatology Office (Sarasota)
Location: Sarasota

We are seeking a friendly and organized full time Front Desk receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Dermatology office. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and efficient experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Appointment Management
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office s scheduling system.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar.
Administrative Support
  • Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork.
  • Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.
Office Coordination
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other general administrative tasks.
  • Provide information and directions to patients, creating a comfortable and stress-free environment.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
