Location: Port Charlotte, FL
Shift: Part-Time | Saturday & Sunday | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Charlotte Bay Rehab and Care Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the nature of calls, and direct callers to the appropriate staff or department
  • Greet visitors, residents, and guests warmly and direct them to the appropriate location
  • Issue and collect visitor identification badges and maintain visitor logs
  • Assist department directors with administrative tasks such as typing reports, correspondence, and filing
  • Support general administrative duties including document management, posting accounts, and record keeping
  • Assist the payroll clerk with administrative functions as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date directories including resident listings, room numbers, emergency contacts, and key personnel
  • Track and manage key dates for contracts, renewals, and administrative deadlines
  • Operate office equipment including copier, fax, and telephone systems
  • Manage phone transfers, voicemail setup, and paging systems when required
  • Order office supplies in accordance with facility purchasing procedures
  • Provide information and directions to visitors, vendors, and residents
  • Support inter-facility communication
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist or administrative role (healthcare setting preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Ability to make independent decisions and remain calm during emergency situations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and exceptional customer service
