Department of Health, Prosecution Services Unit, Receptionist/Data Entry
The Prosecution Services Unit (PSU) provides legal services in the regulation of all health care boards and councils. PSU takes administrative action against healthcare practitioners for violations of the licensee’s practice act. This position is directly supervised by the Operations & Management Consultant I within the PSU of the Office of the General Counsel.
Responsibilities- Process intake of all new cases received in PSU from the Field Offices, update activity codes and status codes in LEIDS, and assign cases to the proper section.
- Scan and upload closing orders and closing letters into Axiom Pro accurately and return them to staff upon completion in a timely manner.
- Process and mail status 60 and status 70 letters daily; enter activity codes in LEIDS.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Respond to a security background check and/or drug screening, and attend direct deposit setup.
Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of assignments. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies and procedures regarding licensure and regulation of professionals, and consumer protection. Ability to compile, organize and analyze data. Ability to communicate effectively, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications- Extensive data entry experience.
- Strong attention to detail and high organizational skills.
