COASTAL ANNEX CLERK
Under routine supervision from the Coastal Annex Coordinator, perform a variety of simple to complex clerical operations relating to the various services provided by the Walton County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller at the South Walton Courthouse Annex in the following areas:
- Circuit Civil Child Support Probate Small Claims County Civil Marriage Licenses Domestic Relations Traffic Official Records Misdemeanor/Felony Passports Juvenile
- Graduation from an accredited high school, or possession of an equivalency diploma.
- One (1) year clerical experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Working knowledge of modern office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
- Skill to operate with appropriate speed and accuracy a computer, printer, and standard office business machines including, but not limited to, a calculator, copier, scanner, and fax.
- Ability to type 30 correct words per minute.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to understand and follow simple to moderately complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of simple to moderately complex records, compile data, and prepare report.
Pay Rate: $19.8544/hourly ($17.8544/hourly base + $2.00/hourly location pay)
