Student Assistant, Enrollment Service Center

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to Lake Sumter State College's success. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure the efficient operation of departmental activities.

This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student’s academic and other responsibilities.

Students cannot work during class.

• Communicate with admitted and prospective students via email, phone, text, and Zoom to guide them through enrollment
• Address inquiries about admissions deadlines, academic programs, orientation, transcripts, and Florida Residency, etc
• Follow up with students as necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College (min. 6 credit hours)
• Currently, hold and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Minimum age of 18
