Auto Mechanic

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles while producing quality work in an efficient manner. This position is paid based on book time performance, offering strong earning potential for skilled and motivated technicians.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment
• Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, and other vehicle components
• Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid services
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when necessary
• Identify additional repair or maintenance recommendations
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and book time hours
• Communicate effectively with management and service advisors regarding repair status and vehicle conditions

• Previous experience as an Auto Mechanic or Automotive Technician preferred
• Strong understanding of automotive repair and diagnostic procedures
• Ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience using diagnostic scanners and automotive tools
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required

• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Strong time management and efficiency
• Ability to produce high-quality repairs within book time standards
• Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with domestic and foreign vehicles preferred
• Welding, fabrication, or diesel experience is a plus
