Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 hourly
Summary of positionThe Commercial Tire Technician is responsible for performing tire-related services including, installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial tires ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Mount, demount and balance commercial tires and wheels as directed.
- Perform tire repairs, including sealing punctures and replacing valve stems.
- Inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service to identify additional needs, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Road test vehicles.
- Ensure the service center is clean and safe.
- Assist in stocking inventory and maintaining supply levels as directed.
- Must use PPE, dollies, jacks, hoists, lifts, commercial air tools and various tools in accordance with proper use and safety guidelines.
- Use proper ergonomics when lifting to avoid strains.

- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations including fluid specifications and volume measurements.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- 0–1 year work experience in tire services or related field.
- Must demonstrate working understanding of tire service procedures, mechanical skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential.
- Driver's License, unrestricted.
- Maintain TIA & ALI certification upon training received.
- Work will occur in well‑lit, well‑ventilated repair shop locations.
- Exposure to grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
- Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
- Must wear required uniform.
- Bending, squatting and working under vehicles is expected.
- Ability to lift and move at least 100 pounds routinely.
- Ability to push and pull at least 50 pounds routinely.
- Use of power tools and mechanic parts are used daily, including heavy duty impact guns for extended periods.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
- Use of fine motor skills is expected.
- Must be able to raise arms above the head and shoulders for extended periods of time.
