As Mavis’s leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They conduct undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate and balance tires.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Possess an extensive tool box of personal tools used for undercar repairs.

The following additional qualifications are preferred:

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements:

Mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
