Why this role is specialThis role is essential in our goal to develop and further our LATAM partnerships, with the responsibility of identifying new opportunities for inbound and outbound business pertaining to Latin America. Howyou will be successful
- Develop new product services to increase volumes and GP.
- Identify top opportunities (great impact on volumes/GP).
- Build joint target list with key partners and monthly reporting of sales activity and results.
- Build relationships across our key partners network of offices.
- Be an expert in the designated trade lane.
- Serve as first point of contact for commercial questions from local sales, branches, operations, and leadership.
- Promote growth in volumes (FCL – TEU / LCL- CBM / Air – kg) and overall growth in client base and number of shipments.
- Support our branches and their business development in terms of marketing campaigns, flyers, pricing, and routing solutions.
- Responsible for the overall profitability of the lane.
- Ultimately responsible for route pipeline overall.
- Prepare and present quarterly action plan and progress report.
- Identify potentials through our branches and commercial team as well as with our LATAM partners.
- Review our competitiveness and required solutions, the market, and clients (prospects and existing).
- To build joint / reciprocal business between Green and our selected partners by air and ocean (LCL/FCL).
- To build air and ocean consolidations westbound and eastbound.
- Direct our commercial activities to support our existing consolidations.
- Identify new consolidation opportunities and direct our commercial activities to support the launch and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 7+ years of supply chain/freight forwarding experience, ideally in sea/air logistics.
- Strong Sea/Air freight product knowledge and pricing knowledge.
- Thorough understanding of business development strategy and the sales process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills including conflict management and resolution.
- Cross‑cultural competence and cultural sensitivity, specific to LATAM.
- Self‑starter with excellent planning and organizing skills who is willing to share knowledge and expertise, having a team‑first mentality.
- Understanding of continuous improvement and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work without daily supervision.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is a definite plus.
