Costa Farms started on just 30 acres, and over the last 60 years, we’ve grown to more than 5,000 acres around the world. A Global Sourcing Manager’s main role is to develop and implement strategic initiatives and sourcing strategies to reduce spend/improve enterprise value.

The Sourcing Manager has full ownership of the range of a given category. This role is responsible for the product quality, costing, supplier management, value initiatives and strategic objectives of a specific category group.

• Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of effective vendor negotiations, cost reductions/containment, and bid events through correspondence to suppliers; develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
• Conducts supplier negotiations; collaborates with Legal to establish contracts, and performs critical tactical activities as needed including contract management, implementing improvement plans.
• Uses procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility.
• Develops a business relationship with functional stakeholders and solicits feedback on sourcing and vendor performance, shares and discusses supply base opportunities, and identifies new and changed needs.
• Manages vendor relationships and monitors supplier performance, ensuring regular meetings occur.
• Report on spending and vendor-related risks, along with identified results and opportunities for action.
• Engage in a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging business and industry intelligence, adopting, and participating in the development of best practices, new tools, process re-engineering and other ideas that provide service delivery efficiencies.
