Position Summary:The Vice President, Partnerships serves as a proactive, field‑first business partner to NFP’s Health & Benefits organization. This role is accountable for building, activating, and evolving carrier and strategic partner relationships that directly support producer success, client outcomes, and Health & Benefits growth.
In alignment with NFP’s entrepreneurial, consultative culture, this role shifts traditional “carrier relations” toward a customer‑centric partnership model, where the field—not the carrier—is the primary customer. Success is measured by relevance, impact, and value delivered to the field.

Key Responsibilities:Field‑Centric Partnership Leadership
- Serve as a trusted, proactive business partner to the field, regularly engaging producers and market leaders.
- Actively identify where producers are facing challenges and where partnerships can add value.
- Ensure partnership strategy is informed by field insight and grounded in real client and market needs.
- Lead carrier relationships with a clear expectation of measurable contribution to field success.
- Shift carrier engagement from transactional activity to strategic collaboration, education, and innovation.
- Align carrier priorities with Health & Benefits growth strategies and advisory focus areas.
- Partner with field leadership to identify priority events where sponsorship strategy can enhance impact.
- Design purpose‑driven sponsorship frameworks aligned to business objectives.
- Reimagine “boondoggles” to go beyond traditional ski and golf—using experiences to intentionally:
- Strengthen strategic carrier relationships
- Deepen field engagement
- Reinforce NFP’s professional brand
- Curate carrier panels featuring true industry leaders and subject‑matter experts.
- Ensure content delivers actionable insight, innovation, and relevance to field priorities.
- Position NFP events and forums as differentiated, high‑value experiences.
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting to the field on:
- Books of business
- Carrier penetration
- Strategic opportunities
- Translate data into insights that support field decision‑making and growth.
- Partner closely with Health & Benefits leadership, practice leaders, marketing, and operations.
- Act as a visible, solutions‑oriented leader who enables the field rather than creating friction.
- Set the standard for modern partnership management at NFP.
- Establish a field‑first operating mindset across partnerships and carriers.
- Conduct structured listening sessions with producers and leaders and translate insights into action.
- Reassess carrier relationships through a value‑to‑field lens.
- Differentiate strategic partners from transactional relationships.
