This Specialist will be a part of the Government Partnership Opportunities (GPO) discipline and is responsible for working with the Director of Government Partnership Opportunities to help grow Mediacom’s broadband business through partnerships with federal, state and local government entities, and non-profit organizations.

• Assist with grant applications, management, and reporting for all federal and state grant programs to help fund the expansion of Mediacom’s broadband network or offset monthly subscription fees for new or existing broadband customers.
• Coordinate with regional and corporate operations and engineering/construction teams to prepare, report, and manage ongoing grant application awards issued by federal and state government agencies.
• Audit ongoing customer programs, such as the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, to ensure accurate reporting to accounting and to state and federal agencies.
• Provide research on new grant programs in facilitation with the Director of GPO to ensure Mediacom is taking advantage of all applicable programs and opportunities.
• Work with state associations on broadband grant programs to ensure Mediacom has a voice in all possible changes that may come from a state level association.
• Work with local municipalities to understand the broadband needs of the area and find ways for Mediacom to create public-private partnerships to address community need.
• Develop tracking reports that can be shared with key corporate and regional business leaders that show key metrics such as project construction costs, grant dollars awarded, homes passed, subscribers connected, relevant grant or construction timelines, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Reporting/Analytics experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills required
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Public Speaking experience a plus
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work with a team and independently
• Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
• Preferred - experience working with ACSR, Curate
• Experience working with Google Maps/Google Earth/ArcGIS mapping systems a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
