Location: Apollo Beach
Environmental Manager position with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Food Safety, Bureau of Wholesale and Dairy. The role manages the Wholesale Central section, supervising field staff responsible for food inspections and ensuring uniform implementation of statewide food inspection programs. This is an internal-only opportunity limited to current Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 9 years professional experience in environmental protection, regulation, health, physical/natural sciences, agriculture, or engineering
- 5 years managerial/administrative experience coordinating environmental programs with 3 years supervisory experience
- 4 years combined experience as Environmental Specialist I or higher with State of Florida
- Bachelor's degree in physical/natural sciences, agriculture, or engineering plus 5 years professional experience
- Valid Class E driver license
- Functional working knowledge of food establishment inspection training and certification requirements
