We are seeking a Senior Strategic Planning Specialist to support Honda's Marine initiatives, focusing on market analysis, customer insights, and business assessments to aid new model development. The role involves creating outboard and rigging line-up strategies aligned with customer needs, business goals, and regulations. You will lead communication and coordination for product launches, serve as the voice of the customer during product development, and recommend design improvements or new market opportunities.
Maintaining industry knowledge and monitoring competitors is essential to drive informed decisions.
- Product Planning:
Support market trend analysis, model positioning, and profitability assessments. - Line-up Strategy:
Develop outboard and rigging strategies aligned with customer and regulatory priorities. - Product Launches:
Communicate product details, support sales promotion activities, and ensure successful launches. - Insights & Development:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide customer-driven recommendations, and coordinate testing logistics. - Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed on marine industry trends, competitors, and Honda’s product lineup through ongoing engagement.
- Bachelor’s in engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years marine industry experience or 8+ years related work
- Deep understanding of marine products, technology, and industry conditions
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and analytics tools like SPSS, Tableau, PowerBI (a plus)
- Strong decision-making, project management, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to interact confidently with management and stakeholders
