Overview
Are you passionate about helping youth succeed? As an Assistant Family Teacher, you’ll provide direct care to at-risk children in a supportive, family‑style home. You’ll teach life skills, model positive behavior, and support each child’s moral, educational, and emotional development.
Compensation & HoursStarting Pay: $19–$20.00 per hour
Full‑Time
Shifts:
2:00PM – 10:00PM, rotating two weekends; requires at least one overnight stay per month (Friday 2PM – Sunday 10PM) and occasional daytime meetings.

- Provide care, guidance, and behavioral support to youth.
- Teach life and social skills using the Boys Town model.
- Support academic and spiritual development.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
- Participate in fun and educational activities with youth.
- 21years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Passion for working with youth; flexible and team‑oriented.
- Current CPR certification and mastery of a nationally recognized personal restraint model; required during pre‑service training.
- Lift up to 50lbs and safely transport youth.
- Perform household tasks and respond to physical/emotional needs.
- Handle behavioral challenges and safety protocols.
- Push and pull at least 80lbs of force; reach overhead, bend, and squat with ease.
- Perform tasks such as moving furniture, climbing stairs, cooking, playing games, maintaining grounds, and safely transporting youth in all weather or time conditions.
