Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

We are a growing and reputable subcontractor delivering high-quality work across commercial, industrial and multifamily sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our preconstruction team and play a key role in securing new projects.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids for subcontracted scopes of work. You will work closely with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and field leadership to ensure pricing reflects current market conditions and project requirements.

This position is critical to continued growth and profitability.

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs specific to our electrical scopes
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
• Solicit and level vendor and material pricing
• Identify scope gaps, overlaps, and potential risks
• Clarify inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions within proposals
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving alternatives
• Support project handover to operations after award
• Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and historical cost data

• 1+ year of estimating experience within a construction environment
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trade-specific scope
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Procore, Accubid, Sage, etc.)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bid environment with tight deadlines
